Privacy policy
Last updated: 7 November 2026
Southern Care Nursing Agency (ABN 71 699 524 671) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and your rights. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
The information we collect depends on how you deal with us.
- Job seekers: your name, contact details, résumé, work history, qualifications, AHPRA registration details, proof of work rights, references, availability and the status of your applications. If you are placed with us we may also collect police check results, NDIS Worker Screening details, immunisation records and training certificates, some of which is sensitive information.
- Providers and employers: your organisation, your name and contact details, and the details of the staff you request.
- Website visitors: messages you send through our forms, and basic technical information such as your browser type and the pages you visit, which we use to keep the website secure and working.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiries and staffing requests.
- To assess applications, match workers to placements and manage our workforce.
- To check that workers meet legal and provider requirements before placement.
- To meet our legal, safety and record-keeping obligations.
- To operate, secure and improve this website.
We collect sensitive information, such as health-related records like immunisation status, only with your consent or where the law allows it, and only where it is reasonably necessary for placement.
Who we share it with
We share a worker's relevant details, such as name, qualifications and compliance status, with a provider when that worker is offered or placed with them. We may also share information with referees, screening and registration bodies to verify your details, and with service providers who help us run our systems, such as web hosting and email. We do not sell personal information. We disclose information where required or authorised by law.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Accounts are password protected, uploaded résumés are stored privately, and access to applicant records is limited to our staff. Where service providers store information on our behalf, they may do so on servers located outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it securely. No online system is completely secure, so please choose a strong password and keep it private.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
